Regular price $25.00

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is pleased to invite member artists to submit entries to the 2024 Members’ Juried Art Exhibit. Artworks in all visual media using any combination of materials and techniques are welcome. Accepted artworks will be displayed in the Richard E. Winter Gallery and the Torrey Family Gallery at the Frederic Remington Art Museum, and in an online exhibit at www.fredericremington.org

Juror: Marjorie Kaniehtonkie Skidders

Eligibility: Open to Frederic Remington Art Museum members. If you aren't yet a member you can become one by clicking here.

All entries must be initially presented as digital images. You may submit your entries digitally when you COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM HERE.

Member artists may submit up to three works for jurying; art previously exhibited at the Museum is not eligible. A $25 payment is required for up to 3 digital entries. One of each member artist's works is guaranteed acceptance, and up to two more may be accepted by the juror. All entries must be presented initially as high resolution digital images, 300 ppi; video works should be in H.264 format for .mp4, and may be posted on a webpage or other video platform with a link to the page provided. The juror will make selections from the images submitted.

REQUIREMENTS: Flat works are limited to 72” H x 36” W including frame; sculpture may not exceed 60"H x 24"W x 24"D. Time-based works are limited to 5 minutes in duration and should be in H.264 format for .mp4; this work will rotate on a screen installed in the gallery with other accepted work. Longer time-based works will be considered if the artist provides and installs their own equipment; monitors should be no larger than 30” diagonal, and headphones should be provided if sound is integral to the work. Work with complex installations will be included at the discretion of the juror and Museum. The juror has final authority for selection.

Accepted art must be finished and ready for exhibition. Work must be dry with no assemblage needed and able to withstand regular handling. 2D works must be framed or otherwise very well finished and presented. Works on paper must be framed and protected with glass or plexi. The Museum reserves the right to modify hanging hardware if necessary.

Hand delivery of accepted art is preferred. Art may be shipped to the Museum, but it must be in a reusable container, and must be accompanied by payment for return shipping. Art and its packaging should be able to withstand the rigors of the chosen shipping method.

Art in the exhibition may be for sale. One-third of the sale will benefit the Frederic Remington Art Museum. Accepted art must remain for the duration of the exhibit.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum reserves the right to use any and all images of artwork accepted into the exhibition for publicity purposes. By submitting images, artists agree to allow reproduction of their digital files and/or photographs taken of their art for educational, publicity, and archival purposes. Not all accepted artwork may be selected for reproduction.
